The future of the new world order
As a result of the creative chaos that grew up over the past three decades under the new world order, the global village states were divided into two parts: states that voluntarily surrendered to this chaos and mixed their peoples with the balance of truth with falsehood, and their governments turned into an arena of a desperate struggle for power and money, thus becoming unable to develop themselves and deal with Its issues and address its challenges. On the other hand, countries rose up to repel the currents of chaos, quickly gathering their peoples, launching their initiatives and visions, making good use of their capabilities and taking advantage of their advantages, thus becoming able to enhance their status, preserve their rights and develop their sources of income.
Competitiveness in international trade, which was one of the most important principles of the new world order, is now facing its worst stages due to the creative chaos of the protectionist policies pursued by the capitalist countries that establish economic globalization. This is what was confirmed by the report of the Economic Policy Research Center in London issued two weeks ago, warning the world in general and the Group of Twenty in particular, that global competitiveness is under the weight of most capitalist countries retreat from the application of the market economy and freedom of trade, so that the socialist countries occupy the fore position in world trade. The Chinese, the Russian bear, the American giant and the European giant have risen to the throne of globalization.
The report emphasized that the major countries ranked first as the most use of trade-distorting policies through the application of more than 600 types of discriminatory measures against foreign companies in the past decade. Therefore, world trade growth continued to be weak, at a rate of 2.8 percent in 2019, making it the fifth consecutive year that this growth rate has achieved less than 3 percent, according to the latest report issued by the World Trade Organization.
These trade-distorting policies took a dangerous turn last year after America imposed protective tariffs on its imports of Chinese steel, reaching a total of 522 percent, including 266 percent of anti-dumping duties and 256 percent of subsidy compensation fees. This contradicts the most basic rules of the World Trade Organization because the simultaneous imposition of these duties on imported products is inconsistent with the obligations of all member states of the organization.
While the capitalist countries do not recognize that China is a free economy because most of its companies are government companies that deal in trade on behalf of the state, these countries ’imports from Chinese exports have increased over the past five years at a cumulative rate of 383 percent, and the trade balance between America has become And China tends in favor of China at a value of more than $ 600 billion, which resulted in America threatening to impose further customs duties on its imports from China amounting to 45 percent, which led to the outbreak of the current trade war between America and China.
In contrast to capitalist America, which is wrongly accused of its advocacy of globalization, China and Russia have exploited the opening of world markets, and gathered their forces with Brazil, India, and South Africa to establish a group of the fastest countries in economic growth, and called them the "BRICS" group, which constitutes an abbreviation of the first letters of the names of these countries. . When this group held its first summit among its leaders in June 2009, it announced the establishment of new world order and agreed to continue coordination between them to face global economic challenges, including cooperation in the financial and financing sector and finding effective solutions to food security.
Today, while the area of the "BRICS" group does not exceed 26 percent of the global village, and its population is no more than 45 percent of the Earth's population, it has acquired 23 percent of global economic output and 18 percent of the total volume of exchange. In international trade, it maintains about 40 percent of the world's total reserves, to compete by 2030 with the economies of the world's richest countries, including America, Europe, Japan, and the Gulf Arab states.
Despite the common challenges and thorny international issues linking the countries of the "BRICS" group, the group is determined to confront them by accelerating reforms in its administrative structure, adapting its financial crises, and overcoming its developmental obstacles, as well as internationalizing its local currencies. Therefore, the group established a joint investment and trade cooperation base and set up a multi-level monetary cooperation system to advance the calculation of intra-trade in the local currency, and to facilitate its investment exchanges and joint cooperation in all fields.
The future of the new global order will not be like yesterday’s world or even like the world today. The size of the economy of our global village will in the future consist of four strategic alliances, the greatest of which will be in the interest of the ASEAN Group, which will rise to the first rank as the largest global economy with a gross domestic product of more than 41 trillion dollars, surpassing that of The European Union group, which will occupy the second place with a GDP of not more than 38 trillion dollars, followed by the North American countries to occupy the third place with a GDP of more than 36 trillion dollars, and the "BRICS" countries consisting of five countries with a GDP equal to 28 billion dollars, to occupy the rank The fourth. This confirms the international reports that predict that the new world order has begun to shift in the world from globalization to regionalization so that strategic partnerships and regions of trade alliances are on the throne of the global economy.
Since the world has become replete with strategic blocs, which numbered 205, these blocs called on all international organizations to lay the foundations for a new and distinctive world order to launch at lightning speed from the era of globalization to the era of regionalization. Therefore, the rest of the warring states, which failed to repel the creative chaos and wasted what remained of their goods and interests, must stop their political differences, pay attention to what is going on around them, and accelerate the formation of their trade alliances and strategic partnerships to adapt and benefit from the future of the new world order.
