Elliptic analysts continue to track cryptocurrencies stolen from the KuCoin exchange. According to researchers, hackers have begun using the Wasabi Wallet to launder money.

Wasabi Wallet is known for supporting the privacy feature CoinJoin, which allows multiple participants to combine transactions to hide the source of funds. It is an open-source, non-custodial wallet with a focus on user privacy.

Elliptic analysts noted that hackers use various tools to launder the funds received. Some of the stolen coins went through decentralized sites, while others went through mixing services.

Eximchain blockchain project to close due to coronavirus

Blockchain project Eximchain announced the completion of its work this Tuesday. Eximchain cited funding wasted as the reason for this decision.

Eximchain has been involved in blockchain-related developments in the logistics industry since 2015. The project was founded in the Media Laboratory
Massachusetts Institute of Technology and raised $ 20 million in 2018. His main investor was a large Chinese cryptocurrency hedge fund FBG Capital.

In the latest post, Eximchain notes that the price of Ethereum dropped in half shortly after they fixed it for the token sale, which made the amount raised then significantly less than intended.

In addition, the startup found that blockchain adoption in logistics is taking place at a significantly slower pace than originally anticipated.

“The B2B distribution cycle is significantly longer than in the case of a consumer product, and the time is significantly increased when we talk about the application of new technology in one of the most traditional industries in the world,” - says the publication.

Eximchain states that in a number of cases, the companies with which they had agreements made the decision not to change the strategy for installing the blockchain, and they could not publicly announce such cooperation under the terms of a non-disclosure agreement.

“We are disappointed that Eximchain was not able to get things done. To implement the long-term plan, the team did not take the tokens due to it in accordance with the white paper. When COVID-19 began to impact the global economy this year, the entire Eximchain team did not receive a salary to try to weather the crisis. COVID-19 forced us to save resources and finances to the limit, ”adds the startup.

All nodes and the Eximchain blockchain observer will be shut down by November 6, after which the project will not control the network, and by November 13 it intends to close all official communication channels.
